  • Soy sauce:  2 tablespoons 
  • Oyster sauce:  1 tablespoon 
  • Hoisin sauce:  1 tablespoon 
  • Sesame oil:  1 teaspoon 
  • Cornstarch:  1 tablespoon 
  • Vegetable oil, divided:  2 tablespoons 
  • Garlic, minced:  2 cloves 
  • Piece of ginger, minced:  1 inch (2.5cm) 
  • Onion, thinly sliced:  1 
  • Bell peppers, thinly sliced:  2 
  • Broccoli florets:  1 cup (150g) 
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions:

  • Mix the cornstarch, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce in a basin. Toss to coat after adding the sliced steak. Give it a minimum of fifteen minutes to marinate. 
  • In a big skillet or wok, heat up one tablespoon of vegetable oil on high heat. Stir-fry the marinated meat for two to three minutes, or until it turns brown. Take out and place aside from the skillet.
  • In the same skillet, heat the last tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir-fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • To the skillet, add the bell peppers, broccoli florets, and sliced onion. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3–4 minutes, or until they are crisp and tender.
  •  After the steak has finished cooking, add it back to the skillet and stir everything until heated through.
  • Serve hot stir-fry beef over noodles or boiled rice.
